The African Continental Free Trade Area [AfCFTA] stands as a beacon of hope for #Africa, presenting the most substantial prospect for significant economic and social advancements on the continent. Despite a gradual implementation process, the #AfCFTA, once fully realized, is poised to usher in elevated incomes, reduced poverty levels, and accelerated economic growth for the 1.4 billion people with a combined GDP of $3.6 trillion.
These advantages encompass eliminating tariffs on 90 percent of goods and reduction in investment barriers, the harmonization of investment and competition rules, and the establishment of fair and efficient markets.
