NFT stands for non-fungible token, essentially a ‘digital signature‘ backed by blockchain technology that proves ownership of a product, art or music.

Unlike Bitcoin, which are all identical by design, NFTs are unique. To some degree, what NFTs offer for sale is the idea of scarcity.

Introducing ‘Ursa Major’, the first-ever Sci-Fi-Centric NFT Music Band Launched by Poo Bear (@poobear).

Several Gorillaz-style NFT music bands have been created recently to develop next-gen Web3 content – from Timbaland’s and Ape-In Productions’ metaverse label and entertainment company; to UMG’s subsidiary and Web3 label ‘10.22PM’ virtual band collaboration KINGSHIP.

To add to the unique blend of music and visual art experience in the metaverse, Grammy award-nominated music producer and songwriter, Poo Bear, recently announced a new metaverse-based entertainment and animated music group, christened Ursa Major (@ursamajoreth).

Ursa Major will be releasing original music, written and produced by Poo Bear with the first album sold exclusively through the NFT marketplace Nifty Gateway (@niftygateway).
